The Terms & Conditions are different from the Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how user data is handled.
Terms & Conditions explain how users are allowed to use the application.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Thanjavur Corporation Grievance Management Mobile Application (“App”), the user agrees to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
If the user does not agree with these terms, the user should discontinue use of the App.
2. Purpose of the Application
The App provides a digital platform for citizens to report civic and municipal issues to Thanjavur City Municipal Corporation.
Users may submit grievances, photographs, location information, and other relevant details and may use available features to track the progress of submitted grievances.
3. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information when submitting a grievance.
Users should provide sufficient information to help the concerned Corporation department understand and process the reported issue.
4. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Submit false complaints.
- Submit intentionally misleading information.
- Create duplicate complaints unnecessarily.
- Upload illegal content.
- Upload abusive or offensive content.
- Upload child exploitation material.
- Impersonate another person.
- Attempt unauthorized access.
- Attempt to damage or disrupt the application.
- Use the application for fraudulent purposes.
- Abuse Corporation personnel through the application.
Content:
The App must not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, malicious, or unauthorized activities.
5. Uploaded Images
Users are responsible for photographs and other content submitted with their grievances.
Uploaded content should be directly relevant to the reported civic issue.
Users must ensure that they have the necessary rights or authorization to submit such content and must not knowingly upload illegal, abusive, defamatory, sexually explicit, or exploitative material.
6. Location Information
Where location functionality is available, users may provide the location of the reported issue.
Users are responsible for ensuring that the location information they provide is reasonably accurate.
Location information is used to help identify the appropriate geographical area, ward, or Corporation department for processing the grievance.
7. Ticket Creation
Submission of a grievance through the App results in the creation of a ticket where the submission meets the applicable requirements.
A ticket number may be provided to the user for future reference and tracking.
8. Ticket Assignment
This is particularly relevant to your system.
Submitted grievances may be automatically or administratively assigned to the appropriate Corporation department, ward, officer, or authorized employee based on the nature and location of the complaint.
The Corporation may reassign a grievance where necessary to ensure appropriate processing.
9. Verification of Complaints
The Corporation may review, verify, investigate, or request additional information regarding a submitted grievance.
Submission of a complaint does not guarantee that the reported issue will be accepted as valid or that a particular action will be taken.
10. Duplicate or Spam Complaints
This is useful because you are implementing your one-minute phone-number restriction.
To protect the grievance management system from misuse, duplicate submissions, spam, fraudulent complaints, or excessive submissions may be restricted, combined, reviewed, or rejected.
Technical controls may be used to prevent repeated submissions within a short period.
11. Ticket Resolution
The concerned Corporation department will review and process grievances according to applicable administrative procedures and priorities.
Resolution time may vary depending on the nature, location, severity, department, and resources required to address the reported issue.
12. Ticket Closure
A grievance may be closed when the reported issue has been resolved, addressed, determined to be invalid, duplicated, outside the Corporation’s jurisdiction, or otherwise completed according to applicable procedures.
13. Service Availability
We aim to keep the App and related services available and functional. However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, network issues, security measures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
14. Account/Application Security
Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its APIs, databases, servers, or administrative systems.
Any suspected security vulnerability or unauthorized activity should be reported to the appropriate support contact.
15. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, software, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, and other materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit protected application components without appropriate authorization.
16. Suspension or Restriction
Access to the App or specific functionality may be restricted or suspended where necessary because of misuse, fraudulent activity, security concerns, violation of these Terms & Conditions, or applicable legal requirements.
17. Third-Party Services
Certain features may depend on third-party services such as mapping, hosting, notification, authentication, or other technical services.
Availability of such third-party services may affect certain App functionality.
18. Limitation of Liability
Keep this reasonable and have the Corporation/legal team review it.
The App is provided as a digital service to facilitate civic grievance reporting. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate and reliable services, the Corporation does not guarantee that the App will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available.
Submission of a grievance through the App does not guarantee a specific outcome, resolution time, or municipal action.
19. Changes to the Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the App, services, laws, regulations, or administrative requirements.
Updated Terms & Conditions will be published on this webpage.
20. Governing Law
Because this is a Corporation application, this should be reviewed by the Corporation/legal team before publication.
A general version is:
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India and the applicable jurisdiction of the relevant authorities.
